Light of the Azhar is hosted and run by two official representatives (wakeels) of Shaykh Salih al-Jaʿfari, from the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Shaykh Salih al-Jaʿfari was often referred to as ‘The Scale of the Scholars’ and ‘The Light of the Azhar’. One of the greatest facets of the Shaykh’s legacy is the importance of acquiring and acting upon beneficial (religious and spiritual) knowledge; it is with this in mind, that we intend to share the scholarly and spiritual works of Shaykh Salih with the world, by translating them into English and various other languages.
