The following are some of the prayers and litanies of the Jaʿfari Ṭarīqa that are traditionally recited on particular occasions and in times of need. They include collections of ṣalawāt upon the Prophet ﷺ, awrād for gatherings of remembrance, and supplications for seeking relief, ease, and spiritual benefit.
The texts below are currently available in Arabic. We hope, by the permission of Allah Most High, to make English translations available in due course.
Kanz al-Nafaḥāt — 40 Ṣalawāt
The sending of ṣalawāt upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is among the most noble means of drawing near to Allah and purifying the heart.
Kanz al-Nafaḥāt is a collection of forty ṣalawāt composed by Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Jaʿfarī. It provides a beautiful selection of prayers upon the Beloved ﷺ, each one offering the reader an opportunity to remain engaged in remembrance and devotion.
Although the ṣalawāt are concise enough to be incorporated into one's daily practice, the collection is also commonly recited once a week, either individually or together with others.

Kanz al-Saʿāda
Among the practices of the murīds of Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Jaʿfarī is gathering for collective dhikr, known as ḥaḍra.
In the Jaʿfarī Ṭarīqa, the ḥaḍra is a gathering devoted simply to the remembrance of Allah. Those present sit together in orderly rows and recite the prescribed adhkār and awrād. It is not a form of rhythmic movement or dance, but rather a gathering in which hearts are brought together upon the remembrance of Allah.
Kanz al-Saʿāda is one of the collections of awrād recited during these gatherings and is presented here for those wishing to benefit from its prayers and remembrance.
Jālibat al-Faraj
Jālibat al-Faraj is a beautiful rhyming supplication composed by Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Jaʿfarī. In it, he calls upon Allah Most High through His exalted and virtuous Names and Attributes, seeking His mercy, assistance, and relief.
The Jāliba has been prescribed by our teachers, as well as by teachers of other spiritual paths, to be recited when one is faced with spiritual, physical, or mental difficulties and needs.
It is a supplication of seeking relief from Allah and turning to Him in times of hardship and need.
Fātiḥat al-Aqfāl & Duʿāt al-Yusr al-Qarīb
Among the supplications composed by Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Jaʿfarī are Fātiḥat al-Aqfāl (The Opening of Locks), Duʿāt al-Yusr al-Qarīb (The Supplication for Near Ease), and Jālibat al-Faraj (The Supplication for Relief).
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ relates that he saw his Shaykh, Sayyid ʿAbd al-ʿĀlī, the son of Shaykh Aḥmad ibn Idrīs, in a dream. Shaykh Ṣāliḥ asked him to teach him a supplication through which ease could be brought about in one's affairs.
Sayyid ʿAbd al-ʿĀlī replied: “Where is the poetry you composed that leads to Tawḥīd?”
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ then relates that it occurred to him that his Shaykh was referring to these poems.
These supplications therefore carry a particular place within the spiritual legacy of Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Jaʿfarī and are among the prayers through which the servant turns to Allah Most High, seeking His ease, opening, and relief.
