Love of the Prophet Cures Me
حُبُّ النَّبِيِّ مِنْ الأَهْوَاءِ يَشْفِينِي
Ḥubbu al-nabī min al-ahwā’ yashfīnī
Love of the Prophet heals me from all base desires
إِلَى المَعَالِي إِلَى الرِّضْوَانِ يَهْدِينِي
Ilā al-maʿālī ilā al-riḍwān yahdīnī
It guides me to the highest ranks and to Divine pleasure
حُبُّ النَّبِيِّ هُوَ الإِيمَانُ يَصْحَبُهُ
Ḥubbu al-nabī huwa al-īmān yaṣḥabuhu
Love of the Prophet is faith itself that accompanies it
مَدِيحُهُ لِلَّذِي يَزْدَادُ فِي الدِّينِ
Madīḥuhu lil-ladhī yazdādu fī al-dīn
Praising him is for the one who seeks increase in religion
مِنْ غَيْرِهِ لَمْ نَجِدْ بَابًا يُوَصِّلُنَا
Min ghayrihi lam najid bāban yuwaṣṣilunā
Without him, we found no door that leads us onward
إِلَى الإِلَهِ بِهِ يَا رَبِّ تُدْنِينِي
Ilā al-ilāh bihi yā rabb tudnīnī
Through him, O Lord, You bring me near to You
إِلَى حَظَائِرِ قُدْسٍ قَدْ مَنَنْتَ بِهَا
Ilā ḥaẓā’ir quds qad mananta bihā
To the enclosures of sanctity which You have bestowed
عَلَى المُحِبِّينَ إِذْ جَاءُوا عَلَى حِينِ
ʿAlā al-muḥibbīn idh jā’ū ʿalā ḥīn
Upon the lovers when they came at the appointed time
يَسِّرْ إِلَهِي إِذَا مَا رُمْتُ زَوْرَتَهُ
Yassir ilāhī idhā mā rumtu zawratahu
Make it easy, my Lord, when I intend to visit him
أَشْهِدْ فُؤَادِيَ شَمْسَ الكَوْنِ يَسْقِينِي
Ashhid fu’ādī shams al-kawn yasqīnī
Let my heart witness the sun of existence, giving me to drink
يَا قُبَّةً ظَهَرَتْ خَضْرَاءَ قَائِلَةً
Yā qubbatan ẓaharat khaḍrā’ qā’ilah
O green dome that has appeared, proclaiming
زُورُوا النَّبِيَّ بِأَشْوَاقٍ وَتَدْيِينِ
Zūrū al-nabī bi-ashwāqin wa-tadyīn
Visit the Prophet with longing and devotion
لَبَّيْكَ خَضْرَاءُ قَدْ جِئْنَا لِزَوْرَتِهِ
Labbayki khaḍrā’ qad ji’nā li-zawratih
Here we are, O Green Dome, we have come to visit him
خَيْرِ النَّبِيِّينَ شَمْسِ الكَوْنِ يَاسِينِ
Khayr al-nabiyyīn shams al-kawn Yā-Sīn
The best of prophets, the sun of existence: Yā Sīn
النُّورُ لَاحَ وَفَاحَ المِسْكُ أَنْشَقُهُ
Al-nūr lāḥa wa-fāḥa al-misk anshuqahu
Light has appeared and musk has spread, I breathe its fragrance
طِيبُ النَّبِيِّ شِفَاءٌ لِي وَيُرْضِينِي
Ṭīb al-nabī shifā’un lī wa-yurḍīnī
The fragrance of the Prophet is healing for me and brings me contentment
يَا أَكْرَمَ الرُّسُلِ إِنِّي فِي ضِيَافَتِكُمْ
Yā akram al-rusul innī fī ḍiyāfatikum
O most noble of messengers, I am in your presence as a guest
أَرْجُو رِضَاكَ فَقَرِّبْنِي وَنَادِينِي
Arjū riḍāka fa-qarribnī wa-nādīnī
I hope for your pleasure so draw me near and call me [saying]
يَا جَعْفَرِيُّ قَبِلْنَا المَدْحَ أَنْتَ بِهِ
Yā Jaʿfarī qabīlnā al-madḥ anta bih
O Jaʿfarī, we have accepted this praise through you
مِنِّي قَرِيبٌ بِتَأْمِينٍ وَتَمْكِينِ
Minnī qarīb bi-ta’mīn wa-tamkīn
You are near to me, with affirmation and empowerment
إِلَيْكَ قَدْ قَدَّمَتْنِي بَضْعَةٌ شَرُفَتْ
Ilayka qad qaddamatnī baḍʿah sharufat
A noble part (of him) has brought me forward to you
زَهْرَاءُ كِيمَا تُوَالِينِي وَتُدْنِينِي
Zahrā’ kī mā tuwālīnī wa-tudnīnī
Al-Zahrā’, so that she may support me and draw me near
قَبِلْتَ مِنْهَا وَهَذَا الفَضْلُ أَسْعَدْنِي
Qabilta minhā wa-hādhā al-faḍl asʿadanī
You accepted from her, and this grace has made me joyful
فِي أَزْهَرِ النُّورِ نُورٌ مِنْكَ يُحْيِينِي
Fī azhar al-nūr nūr mink yuḥyīnī
In the most radiant light, a light from you gives me life
مِنْ جَعْفَرٍ قُلْتُ قَدْ وَافَقْتَ مُبْتَهِلًا
Min Jaʿfar qultu qad wāfaqta mubtahilan
From Jaʿfar I said: you have agreed, in humble supplication
هَذَا انْتِسَابٌ لِبَيْتِ الصِّدْقِ وَالدِّينِ
Hādhā intisāb li-bayt al-ṣidq wa-al-dīn
This is affiliation with the House of truth and religion
آلُ النَّبِيِّ كِرَامٌ يَعْلَمُونَ بِذَا
Āl al-nabī kirām yaʿlamūna bi-dhā
The family of the Prophet are noble, they know this
اللَّهُ يُرْضِيهِمُ اللَّهُ يَهْدِينِي
Allāh yurḍīhim Allāh yahdīnī
Allah is pleased with them and Allah guides me
الفَضْلُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَرْشِ خَالِقْنَا
Al-faḍl li-llāh rabb al-ʿarsh khāliqnā
All bounty belongs to Allah, Lord of the Throne, our Creator
تَقْضِي الحَوَائِجَ بِالحُسْنَى يُوَالِينِي
Taqḍī al-ḥawā’ij bil-ḥusnā yuwālīnī
He fulfills needs with goodness and grants me closeness
اذْكُرْ شَرِيفَيْنِ جَاءَا مِنْ مُطَهَّرَةٍ
Udhkur sharīfayn jā’ā min muṭahharah
Remember the two noble ones born from the purified one
سِبْطَا الحَبِيبِ لَهُمْ نُورٌ يُزَكِّينِي
Sibṭā al-ḥabīb lahum nūr yuzakkīnī
The grandsons of the Beloved, their light purifies me
أَبُوهُمَا أَسَدُ الهَيْجَاءِ نَعْرِفُهُ
Abūhumā asad al-hayjā’ naʿrifuh
Their father is the lion of battle, we know him well
ذَاكَ الإِمَامُ عَلِيٌّ فِي المِيَادِينِ
Dhāka al-imām ʿAlī fī al-mayādīn
That is Imām ʿAlī on the battlefields
وَالسَّيْفُ يَلْمَعُ فِي يُمْنَاهِ ضَرْبَتُهُ
Wa-al-sayf yalmaʿ fī yumnāhu ḍarbatuh
The sword shines in his right hand, his strike
أَرَدَتْ يَهُودًا وَأَرَدَتْ لِلمَلَاعِينِ
Aradat yahūdan wa-aradat lil-malāʿīn
Was aimed at the Yahud (at Khaybar) and the accursed enemies
اللَّهُ يَنْصُرُهُ وَالدِّينُ بُغْيَتُهُ
Allāh yanṣuruh wa-al-dīn bughyatuh
Allah grants him victory, and the religion is his aim
يَهْدِي إِلَى اللَّهِ بِالقُرْآنِ وَالدِّينِ
Yahdī ilā Allāh bil-Qur’ān wa-al-dīn
He guides to Allah through the Qur’an and the Religion
